Before you fly

At home

  1. Install the eSIM on Wi-Fi. The install needs internet, so do it before you leave. Install guides
  2. Name the line landfall, so it's easy to find in your settings.
  3. Leave the landfall line switched off. Most plans start counting days when they first connect at your destination, so keeping it off until you land keeps your days. When do my days start?
  4. Keep your order page link handy, in case you need your details or more data.

When you land

  1. Switch the landfall line on.
  2. Turn on data roaming for the landfall line. Travel eSIMs always roam, even where the network is local, so this is needed.
  3. Pick landfall as your mobile data line.
  4. Turn data roaming off for your usual SIM, so your home carrier doesn't charge you. Your usual SIM can stay on for calls and messages.

On an iPhone, all of this is under Settings › Mobile Service. On Android, look under your SIM settings.

If it doesn't connect

Check the steps above in order, then turn Aeroplane Mode on and off. It isn't connecting. What should I check?
