Does my phone support eSIM?

• Your phone supports eSIM. Most phones from the last few years do, but some models, and some versions sold in certain countries, don't.
• Your phone isn't locked to a carrier. Phones bought on a plan are often locked, and a locked phone only accepts that carrier's SIMs. Your carrier can tell you, and usually unlock it on request. On an iPhone, see Settings › General › About › Carrier Lock: it should say “No SIM restrictions”.
